A RED JUMPER FOR CHRISTMAS DAY

Red jumpers like these are most definitely made for Christmas day.

I don't know about you but as much as I love a novelty jumper, I prefer to dress up for Christmas especially this year as my husband and I are spending it with family for the first time in 5 years!

This jumper is an amazing tone of red, it's both bright and festive but not too in your face to obtain your wear. The neck is a funnel type, in-between polo and crew which is perfect for those where the hell is my scarf kind of days. (If colour doesn't exist in your wardrobe then you'll be happy to know you can purchase this chunky knit in black too. I thought about styling this knit with my go-to, all black, which is something I do on an almost day to day basis. But the red was way too over powering for my liking. Instead the blue of the denim seemed to take the edge of!

WINTER SUN HOLIDAY WARDROBE

Over the past week I've been asked a lot for winter sun ideas for those of you jetting to a place of paradise over the Christmas break-you lucky things! Sadly I won't be joining any of you due to my husbands work commitments, not to say I don't enjoy being in England over Christmas.

As I scowered over the internet I can safely say I feel your pain. Our favourite brands are too busy stocking hats, scarves and longline coats and have neglected those of you needing a bikini, sarong and beach towel. Maybe their just jealous of those hot temperatures, I certainly am. With that in mind I've put together a couple of my favourite bits I'd be putting in my shopping bag for a winter sun holiday. All of the below are UK based, meaning next day delivery is available for those of you jetting off sooner rather than later.

If you're still looking into booking your flights, hotel or holiday then you might want to check out my Maldives photo diary here.

My boutique of pieces below is interactive and of course shoppable. Hover of each piece with your cursor to reveal price, store and obviously purchase. Happy Holidays!

AHOMEFIX

Sharing a look inside our new home is something I knew I wanted to share with you the minute we exchanged contracts. Since April I've been pining and sourcing inspiration like crazy! Don't get me wrong I love the look of a fashionable white minimalist space but lets face it it's just not practical? (I've saved that look for my office!)

I love the colour grey. As I share the rest of our home room by room you'll gradually start to notice a grey pattern emerging. White was too clinical for our bedroom and magnolia was way out of the question. (Our old house was magnolia throughout and I can't stand the sight of that colour anymore!) Pebble Shore was the perfect medium being neutral if we ever wanted to change our decor I know I wouldn't need to spend another weekend painting the whole space.

Our Chesterfield bed is the heart of the bedroom. I've longed for a tufted buttoned upholstered bed for as long as I could remember but searching for a reasonably priced kingsize was never realistic without dropping near to a thousand pound. I stumbled across the Westcott classic bed in velvet french grey and fell in love despite the 12 week wait the price tag was too good to miss. (I loved it so much our dining table chairs and sofas are the same design!)

Our bedroom furniture has taken me the longest to source. I knew I wanted a mirrored design but on the high street all I've been able to find was all over mirrored which is not practical. These bedside tables and chest of drawers set I stumbled across on Very and they were exactly what I was looking for I ordered them on next day delivery.

We've still got a couple more things to purchase to make the room complete but so far I'm happy with our everything is coming together!

CHRISTMAS GIFT IDEAS WITH ETSY

Etsy is a place I turn to for handmade crafts, unique goods and cute little online boutiques. Think of Etsy abit like Ebay, only better! For example; I trowel Pinterest daily to source inspiration, especially in the lead up to our wedding! 9 times out of 10 the images I loved the most were pinned straight from Etsy meaning not only did I have some amazing images to take ideas from I had personalised and unique pieces that hadn't been seen at a Wedding before, score! The same applies with Christmas! If you're looking for unique finds and things you've trolled the high street for with simply no luck, I know hands down you'll find it on Etsy.

I've already put together a Christmas Gift Guide last week so in this post I wanted to include a guide of ideas I hadn't covered previously; Christmas gift wrapping and Christmas home decorAs always my guides are interactive! So, if there is something you've got your eye on hover over each image and click the icon to take you to each product, it couldn't be simpler. If you scroll to the very end of the post I've linked every item listed in this post, just click on the icons to be directed to the correct page.

You don't have to worry about your item's not arriving in time, every piece that I've chosen are sold by UK based sellers!

My top tip for wrapping up presents is to use washi tape instead of selloptape-I'm not the best at wrapping anything that isn't square, so this stuff hides my awful wrapping mistakes and uneven edges. You can buy washi tape in an array of designs for every occasion and holiday but this gold foil christmas tree tape is my favourite festive design.

If its hand lettered cards and gift tags you're after then take a look at Linsey Mouse. Her designs are beautifully designed and use the loveliest hand written script!

Christmas is not complete unless your home is covered in tinsel, right? Home decor is the perfect place to start to get into the Christmas spirit. you'll find chevron crackers, candy stripe straws and personalised napkins in our household. I just love this carrot for rudolph and mince pies for santa plate, it's adorable for kids. (It would make the perfect gesture to pop under the fireplace ready for Santa and Rudolph at midnight!)

CREAM SHEARLING PILOT JACKET

What I'm Wearing
Pilot Jacket (Black Version)
Lace Up Jumper
Boyfriend Jeans
White Trainers
Chanel Bag
Sunglasses

It's December! Finally, I'm able to get use out of the multiple coats I've been purchasing since August (really!) I picked up this shearling pilot jacket in the black last month and loved it, it was a great alternative to my beloved leather jacket which is simply too cold to sport now we're nearing on Christmas. Now we all now by now that I can't settle for just the one colour, so when I set my eyes on this shearling pilot jacket jacket in cream, pondering I did not! The fit? Beautiful. It's thick, but enough to still layer under your favourite knit. It's oversized but just the right amount. I always tend to upsize in my coats as I like little room so encase your wondering I'm wearing a size 10.

Sadly this roll neck lace up side jumper is out of stock and frankly I'm not surprised. For 32 it is incredibly cheap, especially for the quality! This lace up side jumper is a pretty good alternative whilst the Missguided knit is out of stock.

HOW TO SYLE A BLAZER

What I'm Wearing

Blazer (20% off with code CYBER20)
T-shirt (20% off with code CYBER20)
Boots (Similar)

I love a good old black blazer. They're smart, interchangeable and don't forget classic. Suitable for work with a matching cigarette pant, paired with jeans for a chilled weekend not to mention the perfect party piece to compliment that LBD

This outfit is something I'd wear for a meeting. My line of work isn't exactly your typical 9-5, but that doesn't mean I don't mean business! As I live outside of London when I do venture in for work I like to be comfortable. (I schedule 4/5 meetings a day which involves a lot of time on my feet so comfort is a main factor.) I also want to represent the latest trends as essentially brands are looking at me and the way I dress, as a factor when it comes down to collaborations.

Paired with a simple white tee and black boyfriend jeans (I bought these two sizes bigger than my normal size for a boyfriend style fit.) This outfit is super easy to recreate which is probably one of the main reasons why I love this look. This ensemble is relatable and super easy to achieve with the majority of you owning all of the above! If you needed any other excuse to purchase this blazer then let me tell you that it's a tuxedo dress-perfect for a day to night look!
