WALLIS UTILITY D-RING JUMPSUIT

Oh yes. It's the return of the suede. See, I told you I was wearing it in so many ways! Another versatile addition to my wardrobe is this d-ring jumpsuit from Wallis. This utility jumpsuit is from the petite range but if you do have longer pins that me you'll be happy to know it also comes in a regular sizing here.

I've given my Larsson and Jennings watch a rest recently in favour for a new brand on the block, Shore Projects. Much like Larsson and Jennings they have a beautiful collection of brushed metals with additional mesh strap. I'm not one for dainty, I'm all about a big stainless steel face and thick strap! I chose this rose gold baby, but they also have a gold, silver and a black colour way.

THE SUEDE H&M WRAP DRESS

This little piece of burgundy suede goodness has fast become a huge staple in my wardrobe! Back in February I was kindly invited in for a store appointment with H&M to select my fashion week wardrobe from the new SS15 Studio Collection, obviously I had to chuck something suede in there! The girls kindly sent over this wrap dress to my Hotel for fashion week back in February, but sadly my pins couldn't take the chill. (Tights are a no no in my book!)

You'll see over the coming weeks that I simply can't get enough of this piece; I've worn this wrap dress over tailored trousers, as a jacket over a jumpsuit and simply as a dress layered underneath striped shirts. (I'm all about cost per wear!)

With thanks to the lovely bunch over at Lyst they've helped me create and embed a short video using their Gif Maker tool. The tool allows you to upload a short video which generates into a gif form, cool huh? (Perfect for showing off the detail in your shoes, the movement of any item of clothing, or if you're feeling creative; a small fashion tutorial!)

You can find the tool here to create your very own video!

THE BELTED MAXI TRENCH

As I said in my previous utility post I love wearing neutral, earthy tones during this time of year, especially when they come in form of a belted sleeveless maxi trench coat. *insert heart eye emoji here* You guys know the love I have for anything belted!

My 5 foot frame did fear the worst when this gorgeous piece of khaki knocked on my door, a serious (and I mean serious) heel game will be needed for us shorties. Any kind of platform, flatform and 6incher is absolutely mandatory. The black strappy Topshop mules I'm wearing are sadly out of stock (no surprise there) but fear not as there is also an identical nude pair here.

Maxi-ness aside, this piece really is beautiful. Worth the money? Absolutely. Layer this on top of a uber knitted roll neck sweater and culotte combo like I've done or simply over the top of a chic boilersuit (love this one!) Spring perfection.

BALAYAGE WITH SASOON SALON

Oh yes, I'm blonde. (Balayage being the correct term.) With huge thanks to the lovely bunch at  Sassoon King's Road I am well on my way to having my dream locks, just in time for my Wedding day! With just under 12 weeks until the big day, and after visiting a Sassoon Blow&Style event with the companies directors they gave me the confidence to ditch my brunette comfort blanket and go for ligher locks painting on foil highlights focused towards the ends of my hair in order to achieve the much sort after balayage look.

What do you think? I can honestly say I'm super happy, and that is very rare. I've had my fair share of hair disasters, as I'm sure one or two of you have too! If this is a look your hoping to achieve I would highly recommend Zia, the senior colourist in the King's road Sassoon.

What a better way to show off my sassy new do than with a sassier two piece co-ord? I posted this set on my Instagram a couple of weeks ago and you all went crazy for it, so naturally I had to buy it. If you did ponder about how much wear you'd get out of this set in March then I'd recommend layering with a neutral roll neck or stripped shirt underneath.

MY LFW STAY AT THE PREMIER INN HUB HOTEL

It is safe to say I am slightly relieved Fashion Week is almost over, not just in London but drawing to a close over the world. I am finally unpacked (minus one suitcase..) and I'm starting to remember what it feels like to sleep in my own bed again. Home comforts are the best.

Above is the most gorgeous greige knitted Zara set I wore to end my last day of AW15. The set comes complete with a perfectly matched ribbed maxi length cardigan, this will be the perfect addition to add to your 'effortless' spring wardrobe. We're all in need of at least one day of comfort right? Well, look no further because Mr Stan Smith will be your best friend by the end of the week!

I spent the during of my fashion week stay in the uber-modern Hub Hotel by Premier Inn located in the most idyllic setting in the heart of covent garden, only a matter of minutes from Sommerset House. (Perfect for those that cannot live without a heel!) Inside the compact yet still super stylish room, sat everything you'll ever need for a stay over fashion week; a memory foam bed to collapse onto, a shower to freshen up in and most importantly, wifi! Don't forget to download the app before your stay as you'll be able to change the temperature of your room, order your breakfast for the morning, and even change the channel on the 40 inch smart TV. Winning? oh yes.

UTILITY CHIC

Spring is upon is, and what better way to start the Season than to ditch the dark tones, start to un-layer and to watch our hemlines edge a little higher..

The utility trend, very Spring don't you think? I usually tend to stick with blacks and layer up in darker colours during the Winter, come Summer I do try to venture away from my beloved all black everything and try out a floral print or splash of colour (very rare though might I add.)

Khakis, camels and beige are such an easy tone of colours to wear. Wear the earthy tones together, pair a nude with a vibrant colour or simply a khaki with black if your new to colours (like me!)

Utility for me is all in the detail; multiple oversized pockets, belted waists and sharp lines. With that said I obviously I had to pair this funnel neck Asos coat with this belted wrap midi skirt. Details are key so I popped this pair of black sandals with rose gold detailing. The perfect height for day!
